Commercial Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution

Cordray & Schneller emphasizes nearly all aspects of a civil trial practice. One of our trial lawyers is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. While litigation matters can be complex, we ensure that we keep our clients informed throughout the litigation process, so informed business decisions can be made as the case progresses. While our litigation attorneys are aggressive, they also realize that litigation is time-consuming and costly to our clients. As a result, we are always mindful of the legal fees and costs that may be incurred by our clients. We know how important it is to keep our clients fully informed about alternative dispute resolution and settlement possibilities.

Our attorneys frequently represent clients on litigation issues in the following areas:

  • Business and Commercial Litigation: Our firm’s attorneys have handled a wide variety of disputes regarding matters that a business and its owners may encounter, including, employer-employee relationships, enforcing and terminating contracts, purchase or sale of a business interest, leasing issues, enforcing property interests, and enforcing the rights of business owners.
  • Real Estate Litigation: Cordray & Schneller has significant experience in successfully handling real estate disputes. Our attorneys handle real estate contract disputes, real estate lien and title issues, landlord-tenant disputes, real property development issues, commercial and residential foreclosure, and commercial and residential construction matters.
  • Ad Valorem Tax Litigation: Our firm has exceptional resources to handle ad valorem tax disputes. We have one of the few attorneys in the State of Texas that focuses his entire practice in the area of ad valorem taxation. Our firm has assisted clients throughout the State of Texas in resolving valuation and exemption disputes with appraisal districts and taxing jurisdictions.
  • General Civil Litigation: Cordray & Schneller also handles matters that may fall outside of a specialized litigation area, such as fiduciary claims, insurance claims and coverage disputes, deceptive trade practice claims, administrative proceedings, bankruptcy proceedings, equitable actions, labor and employment matters, and environmental disputes.

In addition, we offer a number of alternative dispute resolution services to our clients, such as, drafting alternative dispute resolution procedures for arbitration of employment, labor, commercial, and construction disputes. We represent clients in mediation, a non-binding process designed to resolve disputes short of litigation or arbitration. Our firm also represents clients in the arbitration of real estate, business, contractual, employment, commercial, and construction disputes.
